Procedure for Lycar students
At the start of phase 3 you will be scheduled for the Jump Start of the module ‘Launching Your Career’’
The last, but most exciting module of the course...!
The purpose of the module will be explained to you at the Jump Start.
The Jump Start takes place twice a year, once in Block A and once in Block C and is essential and therefore compulsory.
During the Jump Start you will find out:
- How you can launch your career
- How the set up of 'Launching Your Career' works and what requirements the school sets
- How you get a coach
- Hear some examples of interesting careers
- Meet the Lycar Core Team
- Hear about sources that Hotelschool The Hague provides to help you 'Launching your career'.

After the Jump Start you will be provided with a login, as the opportunities are only available for Hotelschool The Hague students.
Company presentations are organized throughout the year so you can learn about different companies that offer opportunities. Very often there are direct possibilities to interview.
Some opportunities on the website will have an apply button so you can apply directly. In some cases other ways to apply will be mentioned in the description of the assignment.
So how will your Lycar process most likely go?
- Participate in Jump Start
- Start exploring and orienting yourself
- Meeting with coach to discuss ideas
- Start with set up of Career Launching Plan (CLP)
- Use offered sources such as worksite Lycar, website www.placementoffice.nl company presentations,
Career market, workshops, consultations with coach, expert coach, placement coordinator - Write draft CLP
- Discuss CLP with coach
- After approval CLP by coach upload CLP in Lycar worksite dropbox for approval
- After CLP approval arrange necessary contract(s)
- Execution of CLP
- Lycar Reporting Defense
- Graduation!
